This is THE Prototype that lead to the Badger, the first proof of concept by Charles.
Handles are Carbon Fiber over SS liners with a Chipped Steel .225" blade.
This piece was originally delivered to me at Blade Show 2005.
Here is what Charles had to say about it...
Here is the first prototype of my new A2 bali - had to work some kinks out during the build, still have some to work out - but I am very happy with how this turned out. Roughly 4.5 inch blade of .225 stock ( have to measure to be sure as I don't have specs in front of me ). "liners" are .125 304 SS, Carbon Fiber Overlays - the overlays are unnecessary as the knife is plenty thick w/o them. Knife latches open and closed, despite the odd geometry of it. Handrubbed bevels, "chipped steel" flats. Both edges sharp. Weighs in at around 10.5 oz, but flips like a dream once you get used to it. Pictured with a standard size IKBS for scale. This one is going to Blade, but it is already spoken for by a very good customer who likes having my protos. I'm working on another now, that will hopefully be lighter, along with other knives for Blade. But for now enjoy the pics and let me know if there are any questions - Charles
